Label Symposium, produced by Label & Narrow Web magazine
in Milwaukee, WI, USA, on Tuesday May 16, drew 120 industry
professionals, both converters and suppliers, to the Hyatt Regency
Milwaukee Hotel. The day-long event featured presentations by
label converters on such topics as supply chain management,
security labeling, and partnering with customers. |

Vic Stalam,
a vice president of Kodak Packaging Graphics, a premier sponsor of
the symposium, opened the symposium with an overview of industry trends.
He was followed by Peter Renton, founder of Lightning Labels, who
told how his digital printing operation has grown through search engine
marketing. Mike Erwin, president of Tailored Label Products, explored
the techniques and tools necessary to optimize strategic planning
and execution. Elisha Tropper, president of Prestige Label, delivered
an address that explained how converters can establish successful
partnerships with their customers," report L&NW. |

The exhibition area at the symposium
featured tabletop presentations by 35 companies including Rotoflex
International Inc. Rotoflex discussed the latest applications from
basic entry level, to sophisticated inspection, material finishing,
die cutting, security and digital web finishing.
